The Oscar-nominated actor wore a black cut-out dress and a dramatic cape on the red—or, in this specific case, green—carpet. The look, designed by Celine, leans into old school Hollywood glamor, à la Audrey Hepburn, and showcases that sometimes less really is more. A dress code was clearly decreed for the big night: the main cast for Amsterdam wore coordinated all-black looks. The internet has become accustomed—dare we even say, obsessed— with paparazzi-captured on-set photos of her flashy, technicolor looks as Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming movie. (Which, sadly, we must wait until the summer of next year to see in theaters.) Since filming has wrapped on the project, Robbie has leaned back into her signature clean and classic style—rocking a standout boxy and sharply tailored suit just last week. There’s something Morticia Addams-esque and otherworldly about this dress, but it doesn’t feel at all like a costume.
